We have educational activities with them like songs, music, stories, finger plays, pictures, sensory activities and toys that make sounds – all of which enhance their skills and abilities. Infants are naturally curious and our environment supports their on-going development. We hold them on our lap while reading to them. Move them from place to place for different view, and hold and cuddle them.

- Opportunities to exercise large and small muscles doing activities like rolling over, kicking, sitting, crawling, reaching, and grasping

Mobile Infants

At this stage their language development or skills are growing rapidly, and they can increasingly use their hands to make things happen. At this stage, they can crawl over, under, and through, hold on while walking, balance, hold and manipulate objects. We strive to make sure that we provide materials and equipment that will be geared towards achieving all these goals in this their early lives. It will be an enriching and positive experience for you and your baby.

- Opportunities to assist children in practicing and increasing their expressive language skills
- Daily activities to encourage large motor and fine motor skills including running, jumping, climbing, scribbling, puzzles, and playdough
- Teachers can assist with toilet learning
Toddler

Children at this age will demonstrate initiative. Their play is more sophisticated, complex, and social.
Preschoolers will experience a choice of many activities where they have opportunities to explore and learn through a purposeful play-based curriculum. Play-based learning allows them to develop the many skills such as problem solving, creative thinking, language, etc. that are essential to learning. We have a lot of fun while learning, we serve them with nutritious meals, snack, breakfast, lunch, afternoon snacks and dinner. Chinenye daycare is enrolled with food program to make sure that children under our care are giving nutritious snacks and meals. We have consistent routines for napping, meal time and more.

After School

We offer a before and after school program and a full day program on non-school days (i.e. PD days, March break, Christmas break and summer months). We pursue interests that allow the children to contribute to the plans for the program. They enjoy a range from quiet to energetic activities. The children have opportunities to engage in computer, math and science skills within projects and group activities, as well as reading, writing and creative activities.
